The City of Alexandria, Virginia schedules free first-time homebuyer classes

The City of Alexandria invites first-time homebuyers to take advantage of upcoming classes to help you learn the ins and outs of buying your first home.  These free classes follow a curriculum developed by the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) and are designed to help first-time buyers understand each step in the homebuying process.  Completion of a VHDA homebuyer training class provides access to VHDA’s below market interest rate mortgage programs and other special financing. Completion of a VHDA training class is also a requirement for participation in the City’s home purchase assistance programs.

To view the schedule of upcoming classes, visit VHDA’s website where you can enroll online for the class that works best for your location and schedule.
