Subject: New Comprehensive Plan Amendment - 2018-IV-S1 (Lewin Park)
On May 1, 2018 the Board of Supervisors authorized the consideration of a Comprehensive Plan amendment for Lewin Park (Tax Map Parcels 91-1-((4))1 through 11, 13-25, 500 and 501) in Land Unit U of the Franconia-Springfield Transit Station Area, in the Springfield Planning District, Lee Supervisor District.
The adopted Plan for this area recommends residential use at 1-2 dwelling units per acre with an option for office and/or hotel with support retail uses at up to 1.5 FAR. The Board requested that staff consider substitution of up to 300,000 square feet of residential uses in the development option for the land unit
Public hearings for this Plan amendment have not been scheduled.

Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Work Group (PYMIG) Meeting – Wednesday, April 4
The public is invited to the Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Group (PYMIG) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe St.
The meeting will provide Potomac Yard Metrorail Station project updates on the procurement process, funding, schedule and next steps.
PYMIG is an ad-hoc committee consisting of community members and stakeholders. It serves as the primary forum for community engagement during the planning, design and construction of the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station.
